Olivia N

Director of Programs

Olivia N (they/them) is a queer Japanese American who first came to AARW as a college student in search of political education in a community setting. AARW has provided Olivia with a grounding and supportive community, which is why they hope to continue deepening the interconnections found in AARW’s work through their role as the Director of Programs. Olivia grew up on Dakota, Oceti Sakowin, and Wahpekute lands colonially known as Minnesota. They moved to Massachusetts in 2016 to study sociology at Brandeis University and graduated in 2019. Olivia believes in supporting Asian American communities towards learning about and practicing to embody the collective liberation we envision.

Outside of organizing, Olivia enjoys cooking with and for loved ones, reading, and visiting bodies of water with friends (when it’s warm)!
