Organizing & Activism

The Asian American Resource Workshop believes that community organizing is an important way to make systemic change. Because of this, AARW focuses on training young adult leaders to become organizers and changemakers within AARW and beyond.

AARW has two primary organizing training programs, the Dorchester Organizing and Training Initiative (DOT-I) and the Activist Training Institute (ATI). Through these programs, participants gain skills and experience developing community organizing projects. Through these programs, as well as through AARW’s membership at-large, we organize around issues that affect the APA community of greater Boston, from affordable housing preservation and creation to immigration reform to anti-Muslim violence.
