The Asian American Resource Workshop sees political education as a critical component of our work. Political education is folded into all of our programming, but is most commonly accessed through the Sticky Rice Project. The Sticky Rice Project provides a space for members to build their skills and curriculum developers and facilitators, and the program provides opportunities for community groups, schools, and anyone who is interested, to learn more about topics related to anti-oppression with an Asian American lens.
Recently, AARW has also launched an informal political conversation series. This is a space for members and friends to come together and discuss current events and articles/videos people have been reading. This is currently happening once per month at a member’s home.
