Teresa T
Dorchester Program Coordinator
Teresa (she/her) is a queer, second generation Vietnamese American, youth worker. Teresa’s parents emigrated to the U.S. separately and met in Texas, where she, and her two siblings, were born. Following the 2008 recession, her family moved to Dorchester – a community she now considers home. Teresa currently serves as the Dorchester Program Coordinator at AARW. In this role, she supports and leads AARW’s Dorchester Organizing Training-Initiative (DOT-I) program for Vietnamese youth and young adults in Dorchester. In addition, she supports AARW’s broader anti-displacement framework, particularly organizing around housing justice and immigration/deportation. Teresa is committed to creating programming that fosters a sense of community and care, while also engaging youth in ways to unlearn and challenge systems of oppressions that exist around us.
