The Unheard Voices of UndocuAsians
A project that uplifts the overlooked experiences of undocumented Asian Americans in New York City and Boston.
In collaboration with Revolutionizing Asian American Immigrant Stories on the East Coast (RAISE) and Greater Boston Legal Services’ Asian Outreach Unit, we interviewed a group of undocumented and DACAmented Asian Americans about their immigration experiences and perspectives on safety and justice.
Their responses highlight the importance of re-imagining safety outside of the law enforcement system and the need to invest in community support and in-language services.
In March of 2022, we posted excerpts from our interviews, along with a drawing of something meaningful to each interviewee.
